Abstract
Literature circles encourage small group discussion by using interlocking
roles prepared in advance. The presenter shows how students extend the
discussion through appropriate language cues. The participant observes
through examples how specially modified role sheets and journal entry formats
promote greater in-depth discussion on selected themes.
