Set up your blog on
Blogger
- Go to http://www.blogger.com/signup.g
- Set up
an account. Write your email address carefully.
- Write
down your username and password in your planner.
(Keep trying
until it accepts a username that’s available.)
Name your blog
- Give a
blog name ie, To Kill a Mockingbird
- Put in
a URL name. (Keep trying until it accepts something.)
- Send
an email to teacher
telling me the URL that has your blog address.
If you don’t do
this, I won’t be able to give you a grade for this project.
Sign in and post
- Go to http://www.blogger.com/start and
put in your username and password.
- Click
on the blog To Kill a Mockingbird.
- Click
on Create New Post.
- Give
the posting a specific title: ie, Chapters 1-4 Discussion Director
- See
Literature Circle Reflection document to learn how to write these posts.
- Click
on Publish Post when you’re finished.
- Click
on View Blog tab to see how it looks on the Internet.
NOTE: Compose and save reflection
in MS Word and copy and paste it into the box. Sometimes the program times out,
if you spend too long composing.
Finding URL to send
email to teacher
- Click
on change settings.
- Click
on Publishing.
- Type
http:// address in your email.
Change Settings to
allow comments
- Click
on Settings tab, Comments button.
- Click
Comment – Show
- Select
Who Can Comment? – Anyone
- Default
for Post – New Posts Have Comments
- Click
on Save Settings.
- Click
on Republish to see your changes on the blog.
Change Settings to
use Cairo time
- Click
on Settings tab, Formatting button.
- Click
on Time Zone arrow.
- Find
[UTC +02:00] Africa/Cairo
- Click
on Save Settings.
- Click
on Republish to see your changes on the blog.
Go Back to Main Blog
page – Dashboard & Sign Out
- Click
in upper right corner link Back to Dashboard to go back to main page.
- Click
in upper right corner Sign Out.
