South Africa offers you many delicious snacks. Below are some of the more popular ones that many people here at our school eat.

Biltong These sliced, dried, and seasoned beef are delicious. They are exactly like the American brand, Beef Jerky. Many people in South Africa enjoy biltong, making it one of the most popular snacks.
Safari Fruit Dainties These are sugar coated fruit cubes. They come in many different fruit flavors, like strawberry, lemon, lime, and apple. My favorite would be grape.
Pyott's Salticrax These are regular crackers, but are salt flavored. They also come in other flavors. They taste really good with ham or cheese ontop.
Simba Chips These are the most popular kind of chips in South Africa. They come in flavors like salt and vinegar. They are really good to eat.

Candy

Lollipops		Some of the popular lollipops here are called Fizz Pops. They have fizz in them that oozes in your mouth. Delicious!
Bubble Gum		This gum is called Stimorol. The individual pieces look a lot like Dentine and have a similar mint taste. Great for bad breath!
Chewy Candy		These candies are called Wine Gums. They have different flavors such as orange and cherry. They are very chewy and yummy!
Chocolate		This is probably the most popular chocolate here, Cadbury's. It seems to just melt in your mouth! It is so good!!

South African Restaurants

Cape Town	Cape Town is full of different types of restaurants. Some of the most visited restaurants in Cape Town are: Amigo's which has Mexican and Mediterranean Cuisine (158 Kloof Street), African Cafe that has a complete selection of African Cuisine, Panama Jacks that has really delicious seafood.
Johannesburg	There are many restaurants in Johannesburg . The seafood in Johannesburg is much better than you'll find farther down the coast.Some of the restaurants are: Coco Bongo, the Gramadoelas at the Market theatre, and Leipoldt's which is in the Pavillion Shopping Centre.
Durban	There aren't many good restaurants in Durban . Although there's one really good restaurant called Crocokraal that has great African food and is setup in a safari atmosphere. This restaurant is located in Old Main Road in Durban.
Pretoria	Some of the restaurants in Pretoria are: News Cafe( near Menlyn Mall), Mcginty's(Hatfield), Moerdijks(serves pure Afrikaans food and is in Park Street,close to Beckett), and Maxi's (only serves breakfast and is on the first floor of Menlyn Mall).
Sun City	Sun City is one of the best tourist spots in South Africa and has really good restaurants. Villa del Palazzo is an Italian restaurant which serves great food. Iit's in the Palace at the Lost City,and it specializes in Northern Italian a la carte dinners.
