Computer Brand	Information
Toshiba	Toshiba Corporation opened in Tokyo, Japan in 1965. They started out creating home computers. In the late 80's they began updating their previous models of home computers. In the 90's they began making laptops. They now run a huge competition with other computer companies. Toshiba computers only run windows processors. Toshiba currently employs 10,000 people throughout the world. They operate in 6 continents.
Compaq	Compaq Computer Corporation officially opened in 1982 at a pie shop in a pie shop. It has created computers nuntilow. About 4 years ago Compaq Computer Corporation joined with Hewlett Packard.
Hewlett Packard	Hewlett Packard (HP) was founded in 1939 by two Stanford University classmates called Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. Their first product was built in a garage. It was an audio oscillator which is an electronic instrument that is currently used by sound engineers. Walt Disney Studios was their first customer buying eight oscillators to use them for the movie Fantasia. Hewlett Packard joined with Compaq Computer Corporation in approximately the year 2000.
Mecer	Mecer, is a South African computer company that officially opened on the market in 1987. Until now it has quickly built itself up and created production in most of Africa. Like other companies Mecer only runs windows processors.
Packard Bell	Packard Bell belongs to NEC Computer International. It is currently the world 6th largest PC manufacturer. Packard Bell provides a big range of desktop and notebook computers.
Dell	Dell Computer Corporation opened by Michael Dell in 1984. It released its first computer in 1985. It was called the Turbo, with an Intel 8088 processor running at 8 megahertz. (.008 Ghz) It sold many Turbo's the first few years.In 1997 Dell created the Worksation. Untill ow dell has created projectors, micro vaults, and recently released its first MP3 player. At the moment it is running a big competition with the Apple iPod.
Apple	Steven Wozniak had been designing computers for some time, when on April 1st, 1976 he designed his first computer officially opening Apple Computer. The first computer was called Apple 1. He sold many machines that year before releasing AppleII. Apple II was released 1977, and in 1980 Apple III. After that Apple kept on designing computers until now. Now it not only designs computers, but it also designs MP3 players. They are called the iPod and the iPod Mini.
Acer	Acer opened in 1987. After opening, it began making many computers, and in the same year became the worlds 8th largest PC brand. It been creating many PC's and 26 years later it has evolved from a manufacturing powerhouse to a glablly know computer company, marketing world-class IT products and services.
