This course is designed to provide students with the
necessary background, including but not limited to, in the skills and processes
for higher level math courses. Students
will sharpen their mathematical “understandings” and start perceiving math
problems in an abstract manner where appropriate.
This year’s study of pre-algebra will help student’s to
bridge their mathematical thinking from always using concrete ideas to being
able to think and reason using abstract ideas.
Assessment helps me know how well each student is incorporating
new material into his/her previous mathematical abilities. It also can be an opportunity to learn and stretch
your understanding. Throughout the
