Kruger Park
It was the second of August and my parents decided to go to visit the Kruger
National Park. We decided to go when my cousin and her boyfriend were coming
and also when my older sister was coming, because unfortunately she is
living in Italy. She is studying archeology at the university of Venice.
We left home at about 9:00am in the morning and immidiatly we took my kitten
to my friend’s house. The trip was really boring because we spent a lot
of hours (5 hours) sitting on the car but fortunately my father took a
small bus, that we could stay comfortable during the jorney.
Fortunately at 14.30pm we arrived at the gate of Kruger Park but because
ours bedroom was on the south of the park, we stayed 3 hours in the car.
During our trip to our bungalow we saw a lot of animal: elephants, giraffes,
impalas and a lot of different animals. During this trip I was the only
one that was taking notes about all the things that we were doing. The
first two days we stayed at a camp called: SATARA, and the last two days
we stayed in another camp called: MOPANI.
The second and the third days we didn’t see a lot of animals, only elephants,
giraffes and impalas, and I think it was the weather. The third day we
went for a bush braai.
The appointment was at 18.30pm and we were going in the open car, naturally
with a guaid. It was wonderful, but also a little bit scary because you
couldn’t know what animals was near you or behind you. In a short time
it became dark and also for this it was really scary. But at the end we
saw an elephant, croccodilles and hippo. We spent two hours before arriving
at the braai.
There were a few people working and cooking for us. I really spent
a wonderful night feeling that (maybe) some leopard was standing on a tree
on top of me.
The last day was wonderful because we saw all the animals that we didn’t
see in the others days: haina, lion and some other animals that we saw
the first days.
These days, in my opinion, were wonderful and I liked to stay in the small
house call bungalow because I was always with my sister, the older one
Gaia because I could speak with her about all the things that happens to
me.
When we got back home we were a little sad because the holiday end and
everybody was going back home to Italy and school was starting.
